Chefchaouen, Morocco
Chefchaouen, Morocco! Listen, when I tell you I added 10 days to my trip to make sure I got a chance to see this tiny blue town, it was worth it. It is often referred to as the Blue Pearl of Morocco.
Photos Will Not Do This Place Justice
I don’t care how many photos you have seen on Social Media or how many people’s blogs or websites, nothing beats seeing this place in person.

Take the Bus
It is only accessible by bus (meaning trains don’t go here but a rental car or private car will) but the bus ride from Fes to Chefchaouen was comfortable and quite scenic.
Once you get there you will want to take pictures of everything and you should! It is beautiful and filled with stairs up and down everywhere. The thing I was unprepared for which I hadn’t seen very much in photos was the magnificent mountains it is nestled in. It is just beautiful from every angle you see it from.
Give Yourself Time
Give yourself plenty of time to see Chefchaouen, Morocco. It’s a small little town but there are so many hidden gems of little alley-ways and streets to walk down and explore. I spent two nights there and certainly wish I had stayed longer. It was also just such a relaxing atmosphere there. I was there in March and it did rain a good portion of the visit though I didn’t mind.

One of the things I would also say not to miss while there is to visit the Kasbah and go up to see the views of the city and mountains. It is cheap and worth it!

There are many many tourists who visit here every year and Morocco is quickly becoming a popular destination especially Chefchaouen and once you are there it is clear why.
