Cuenca, Ecuador
Cuenca, Ecuador was a bit of a quick trip due to our unexpected extra day in Alausí. We only ended up staying a couple days in this city but it was a blast to explore nevertheless.
We ended up spending most of our time wandering around just exploring. We found the main Mercado for some groceries and bought the most delicious dragon fruit for breakfast! We also found a fantastic little place for some amazing coffee & great artisanal gifts, El Mercado.

Be sure to try the street food!
Still the best part for me was the street art. We stayed at a Selina Hostel, for the first time. I’ve heard a lot about them and they gradually seem to be taking over the hostel world. (Fun fact: Their first ever hostel was in Porto, Portugal!)
Their building was painted so many beautiful, bright colors & the view was really lovely.

Aww it’s so lovely to see Cuenca again! I lived there for five months back in 2013 and haven’t been since, but I always adored how much street art there was dotted around the city 🙂
Thats awesome! 5 months is quite a while! Plenty of time to see all the street art!
Cuenca has been high on my list, and this definitely is inspiring me to go! Great post, thank you for sharing!
