Frida Kahlo’s Blue House, Mexico City
Frida Kahlo & Her Blue House. I honestly don’t even know where to start in talking about her and this experience for me. I could go on and on telling you facts about her and her life but that is something anyone can google and find online or in a book. This experience was so much deeper for me. Visiting her home was a dream and bucket list item.
To say that I related to her or that I at least feel this deep connection to her and her pain has always been true. From the first moment I learned about her, her struggles and her life story, I had goosebumps and felt drawn in by her eyes in her paintings. Her story was always meant to be told and shared. Frida Kahlo has always represented insurmountable strength to me. She had an extremely difficult and painful life and still persevered. She used her art to express her pain and so much more but for me that was always more evident.
Frida Kahlo is a source of inspiration and hope for me and I am sure, for many women everywhere. I encourage you to look up her, her art and her life story and if you are in Mexico City, go visit her Blue house.
