Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
The Galápagos Islands were like a dream within a dream. It was a place I really didn’t think I would get the chance to visit for a very long time but I was lucky enough to get the chance to visit the islands this year.
This trip to the Galápagos Islands was a whirlwind trip and I decided that if I could do it over again I would probably do things a bit differently. I tried to research as much as possible before going but there is still so much that you learn from firsthand experience so hopefully, I can pass along some of the information I picked up from visiting.
I ended up being in the Galapagos Islands for about 2 weeks so I have a surplus of photos and videos that God only knows when I will get a chance to edit together. However, the time we spent there was refreshing, mind-blowing, goosebump-inducing awesomeness!
Since I have so many photos and so much information to share I am gonna break this up into a few blog posts to make to a bit easier for all of us.

Initially, we flew to Baltra Island and made our way to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island via bus, ferry boat & taxi. We planned to spend our first night on San Cristobal Island so we had to rush to grab the 2pm Ferry boat from Santa Cruz.
The first few days I stayed on San Cristobal then headed back to Santa Cruz for what I thought was the remainder of our trip. We took an overnight trip to Isabela but quickly realized we wanted to spend more time on Isabela Island and less time on Santa Cruz Island so we ended up extending our trip for a few extra days and went back to Isabela Island.

On a day trip, I also visited Floreana Island from Santa Cruz and had a blast just going on our own, no tour necessary. You guys! There are Pirate caves on Floreana Island! My inner ‘Goonie’ was freaking out!!!
Hopefully, I can remember all the details to pass along in the next few posts about the Galapagos Islands but regardless, I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
