Teotihuacan Pyramids, Mexico

The Teotihuacan Pyramids are set outside of Mexico City. There are a lot of theories about who built this city & why but many of those questions go unanswered. It is a Unesco World heritage site; It is truly magnificent and entirely worth visiting.

You can get there with a tour, by bus or by uber/taxi. The cheapest is the bus and it drops you right off at gate 2 or 3. You can catch the return bus outside of Gate 3 as well.

I highly recommend that however you get there you enter through Gate 3 and climb up the Pyramid of the Sun first earlier in the morning before it gets hot. I went in October and was sweating buckets.

I also recommend you take water and an inhaler if you struggle with asthma like I do. Below you can see me at the bottom, half way through & at the top. You guys! I thought I was gonna die… I really recommend you take slow and easy. The steps are steep and it is really high. Take your time at the top too because coming back down is kinda scary.

The Pyramid of the Moon has an amazing view and my personal favorite view of the whole site. (Seen above) The steps here are actually more steep than the the step on the Pyramid of the Sun so take caution going up & down.

There are plenty of souvenir shops & snack shops along the roads and near the entrances. You can also find the bathrooms there too.
